******* SIM SWAP
Vodacom did an ******* swim swap without my authorisation on 3/2/15 at 15:04
The person/s involved took control of my cell phone.
When I wanted to do a internet payment later that evening at ?21:15 my internet account was blocked.
I went to Vodacom on 3/2/15 at 09:00 , they tested the sim card and found it to be faulty and instructed me to do a sim swap.
When they logged onto the system it was discovered that a sim swap had been done as stated above.
I went to the bank to have my internet log in resetted
When I logged into the Nedbank internet banking I discovered that my accounts have been wiped all both were at a maximum overdraft in the red.
A total of R107 531 had been withdrawn
It was reported to Nedbank ***** division. Ref no 2015B0440
A ***** case was opened at the SAPD. CAS78/02/2015
A copy of the statement were also forwarded to Vodacom ***** division
Awaiting response from all
I now cannot pay my debit orders or nothing
I strongly feel that this is totally unnecessary and unprofessional of Vodacom
When I did the sim swap I had to produce a copy of my ID
How did they do it telephonically and pass all the so called security questions?
Johan Venter
