******* activity

I received a text that someone was trying to do a sim swap on my number and to call the call centre if this was ********** activity. I called the call centre immediately so report it and got a very unhelpful women who thought it was funny and wanted to know if I had any enemies who wanted to get back at me. She then kept me on hold for ages and when she returned informed me that she could not put a stop to the Sim Swap and that I had to go in to a Vodacom shop to stop it.
So the sim swap went through that evening before I could get a chance to go to a store. I went in to the Rosebank Vodashop first thing this morning and they were very confused as to how the sim swap was authorised in the first place as the person involved would have had to supply the last 5 called number and ID and proof of address in order to do a sim swap. They also said that the call centre should have stopped it when I called!!

I then had to do another sim swap to get my number back but I am sure that ***** who took it will have used up all of my airtime and data before I get it back.

I am very unhappy that this ******* activity was allowed and that the call centre did not help me with the problem.
