Ignored after more than 20 years as a satisfied client

Vodacom have allowed access to my personal information to their 'agents' Elite Mobile. Elite Mobile have been calling for months and I have refused to take their calls, so on the 11th of November, they called and claimed to be from Vodacom ISP and I checked this multiple times. Elite Mobile then agreed to provide me with 3 Vodacom upgrades, promising me a specific iPhone on each. I again checked the phone specification multiple times. Elite Mobile then upgraded me to a package with a lower specification iPhone, but on the monthly price they promised for the higher spec iPhone. When the iPhones arrived on the 15th November, I noticed they were incorrect and contacted Vodacom who informed me the upgrades were done by Elite Mobile, which was when I first realised I had been ****med. I tried to cancel the upgrades but Vodacom said they had to wait until the phones were returned and they logged a collection request. Nothing happened and I logged another collection request on the 22nd November. Nothing was done, and when I called on the 25th November, I was told the reference number I was provided on the 22nd, was invalid. I logged another request on the 25th and 2 of the phones were collected on the 26th. I have logged requests for the third device on the 27th and 30th November and the 3rd December but I have still received no notification of a return. There are multiple unsolicited charges on my account that nobody is willing to explain and the Customer Care line does not answer the phone or respond to emails. I logged a ***** report against Elite Mobile with Vodacom's ***** department on the 16th November but I have received no response. On the 16th, I also logged questions with the Vodacom POPI office to understand how Elite Mobile managed to access my personal details in contravention to their claimed protection of personal data policy as listed on the website, and have not received a response from that department either. I have been a Vodacom customer for over 20 years and they are not even responding to multiple escalation requests to speak with a manager to resolve this issue. When speaking with their call centre agents, I am informed that there are many similar complaints against Elite Mobile and devious upgrade processes.

This is still not resolved. Not only have Vodacom not bothered to respond to any of my queries, I have called them 8 times and emailed even more and all a waste of time. At least the handsets have finally been collected (after 7 requests) but I am still being charged for them and the upgrades have not been reversed. Still no response at all from Vodacom's ***** department or from their POPI office in response to my request for a personal data report. I did manage to get through to someone who claimed to be a line manager within customer care - he promised to get back to me within 48 hours but tomorrow it will be 2 weeks with no response. I have now spent in excess of a full working week trying to get this resolved and Vodacom can't even be bothered to take 10 minutes to reply.
