I***- Vodacom wake up and learn the NCA laws!!!

I had a Vodacom account opened in September 2006. This account reflected on my payment profile. The account went into default in 2007 as the division at the company I was working at was at a stage of closing down. This account was then blacklisted by Vodacom and I was unable to obtain any credit. I was uncontactable for 3 years by vodacom and the debt prescribed as stated by the Prescription Act 68 of 1969. January 2018, Vodacom decided to list the account on my profile again . According to the NCA, it's ******* for creditors to list prescribed debt so why would Vodacom do such a thing? Do they want to run head on with the National Credit Regulator and consumer courts? Are you guys looking for a problem as this is against my rights . This debt has prescribed almost 8 years ago but unless vodacom can prove otherwise, they must close their file and move on or sit with a complaint being laid at the NCR as well as the consumer courts. I want the listing removed from all the credit bureaus immediately. And this account is not owned by a third party as that reflects of my credit report.

Don't be sorry, sort it out and remove that prescribed listing from all the credit bureau platforms. If this makes its way to the NCR and National Consumer Tribunal, you guys are going to be in serious trouble and you'll should know thay it's ******* to list prescribed debt. Please note, that this enquiry is not an acknowledgement of the debt and this debt should no longer exist according to the Prescription Act 68 of 1969. If Vodacom cannot provide any proof of contact during the prescription period with regard to this debt be it letter, sms, email, fax, summons, they should close their file, remove the ******* listing and move on. If Vodacom refuses to do that and continues to list the prescribed debt, the matter will be referred to the National Credit Regulator as well as the National Consumer Tribunal. Yes, I'm well aware of my consumer rights!!!
