I would like to share the pathetic service delivery I received from Vodacom.
<p>I phoned Vodacom on the 24th of June 2016 to cancel my contract as I got a better deal at Telkom Mobile. Telkom offered a better package for Samsung A 5: 100 All Network minutes, Additional 1 GB All Network Data, 5 for 50 SMS promotion. When I phoned Vodacom to request a Premature Cancellation quotation, after holding on for more than an hour the consultant said they were offline but will phone me back when they are back online. Nobody ever phoned back. I went through the same process 3 times. Eventually I spoke to a consultant Johan from Midrand who asked me why I want to cancel and I explained about the package that I was offered at Telkom as I can`t afford paying R600-R800 a month for a cellphone contract. Johan phoned me back on the 24th late afternoon offering me a cheaper package as he was aware that I will use more data & minutes. He offered me a package of R449 a month with 2GB data, 200 minutes, 50 free sms that I can use on the 24month contract. I agreed and gave all the details as well as my work address to deliver, and specifically asked for a white color. On the 30th of June the courier company came to deliver but instead of one phone they delivered two black Samsung A3`s, accidently opened both packages (the boxes it came in BUT not the cellphone boxes) the courier refused to take it back as I already opened the boxes. I phoned Vodacom the whole day trying to sort out the issue. The next week, I spoke to the Cancellation/Upgrade department, but no one was able to assist. I only got an e-mail from customer care service "Our records reflect that a service request was logged to our Retentions Upgrades Department for investigation. The reference is 1- ********** 0114.I have added you latest email concerns to this reference and requested urgent feedback"</p> <p>On the 7th of July after 5pm I received a call from Ram couriers that they will collect the following day, and they will only be collecting not delivering. I was furious, phoned the upgrades department as the Retentions Upgrades Department and again they could not assist as there 3Dsystems were not online. Promises was made that their supervisors will contact me, but I’m still waiting. On the 08th of July 2016 they came to pick up the phones but they did not deliver the upgrade as they were supposed to. I send through an e-mail and phoned them non-stop, consultant of customer care advised that I can visit the nearest Vodashop for assistance. I went to the Vodashop in Clearwater near the Boardman’s, they gave me a card to sit and wait in the que. I waited more than half an hour when I realized everybody else is standing up and getting served while my number was supposed to be called out, but was never called out. I was Irritated that no-one could help or assist even at a store. I tried my luck walking to the other shop under the escalator, consultants was friendly and helpful but no stock and could not offer me the same package as I was offered. Came back to the office after wasting my lunch hour, phoned Vodacom to cancel, but now sitting with two phones on my name, and I now have to again wait for them to cancel the upgrade and only then will they be able to provide me with a premature cancellation quote so that I can move my contract to someone more reliable. So in total I have been waiting for a phone for almost 3 weeks, still struggling to cancel my contract with a service provider that has very expensive packages and definitely not the best service.</p>

Dear Vodacom
As I already said in my review : I went to the Vodashop in Clearwater near Boardmans where I waited more than half an hour, and went to the shop under the escalator they had no stock and could not offer me the same package. Why would I waiste my lunch break again ?
I want to cancel my contract without paying the "premature cancellation fee" and go to Telkom where I will receive a better service delivery & package.
