I wish I had signed with Cell C

On the Friday 9th of June 2017 my company took out a mobile contract for me and attempted to transfer my existing number to their account. We were told the account would be active in 24-48 hours. On the following Tuesday I queried why the account was not active. I was told to be patient. A week later, I visited the store in Century City. I was told a reverse migration was needed and that this action only happened once a month, and that I had missed the window. I was told I would have to wait until the end of July to have my phone activated - Insane! On 29th June I received notification that the activation was taking place. Still nothing! I gave a very poor rating on the SMS service. I received a very concerened call on 30th June from the head office customer care line promising me that the matter would be attended to and that I would receive a call by 12h00 that day. Still waiting! Our business manager has made repeated attempts to sort this matter and several others, all relating to service activation issues, and all relating to the "reverse migration" nightmare.

I have a wonderful phone and still no service and it looks like it will be another month before activation - if I am lucky

My advice to the public - move on. There are other providers who won't put you through this shambles.

Reviewer Update

I was promised that a representative would contact me to resolve this matter. It didn't happen. My Company Business Manager followed up on my account, as well as the accounts of several other accounts for our employees pending connection. Vodacom had lost our paperwork! Paperwork was resubmitted. Our Business Manager was promised a call with a final resolution on 1st August. No call was received.

To date, I still have a mobile phone with NO CONNECTION.

Can the service get any worse?????
