I will no longer be a vodacom customer

After confirming a change in my contract with vodacom and being assured that everything was complete vodacom suspended my account because of what I am told is a systems error on their side. I have spent over 2 hours on the phone and spoke to 3 supervisors (the supervisors were friendly) but ultimately no one has been able to help me. Of particular frustration was my interaction with a lady from accounts who confirmed with me there was nothing wrong with my account and the error was on their side but had to go home at 17h00 and even though I had been on the phone for over 30 minutes she promptly cut the call when it was time for her to go home.

A day later my account is still suspended. I cannot believe that an account can be instantly suspended but not reactivated over 16 hours later!! I will be cancelling my account with vodacom and getting a more competent service provider.

Reviewer Update

Someone from vodacom's backoffice called me and attempted to fix the problem that had finally been resolved. I then asked where I could lodge a complaint for the poor service (as vodacom has no email facilities on their website and I do not have time to sit on the phone for another 2 hours!). The person had no idea and suggested I look at the website. They explained to me that the ticket had only been logged this morning at 08h45 - what happened to all the tickets I logged yesterday afternoon and last night and since 6h30 this morning? What a waste of my time! Continuing unprofessional service from Vodacom.
