I was **** to by a sales consultant, after he told me how much they valued me.
I received a phone call from someone in the sales department last week Wednesday, the consultant told me that Vodacom values me as a customer and because of that they would like to assist me in saving some money. He told me that he would send me some replacement SIM cards, because customers are experiencing calls begin dropped, so this would replace my current SIM card.
He told me that I should save +- R120 per month. I asked him before I accepted anything, "Promise me this will not increase the price of my contract", he said it definitely would not, he is only trying to save me money.
He also told me that he would email all of the information regarding this change as soon as the call is over, I never received this email.
I got an SMS from Vodacom yesterday morning, saying that the amount debited from my account at the end of the month will be R500 more than I normally pay, so I phoned the sales department this morning, they told me no, he sold me an ADDITIONAL SIM card, which is not what he told me, and that it would cost me an additional R508 per month. I have not signed for the SIM card from the courier, and I will not be doing so when it arrives.
After being told that I am being valued as a customer, having a consultant blatantly lie to me is insulting.
I will be cancelling my contract as soon as I can.
