I should never have ported to Vodacom!

Good day, I have just taken up a contract with Vodacom and have been struggling to port my number for the past 2 weeks. I have signed the contract and they have already made there first debit order deduction but yet I cannot receive any voice calls on my number which I have ported to them. I have called the call center numerous times with no success. Yesterday alone I called them 3 times ... first call I was placed on hold and consultant never came back to me. I put down after 30 minutes. Second call, the consultant did not give me an opportunity to explain my story just told me that he would call me back in 20 minutes which never happened. Third call the consultant put me on hold for over 20 minutes and when she came back to me she could not hear me and the call got dropped. She also never had the decency to call me back on my alternate number which I had given her.

Naturally, I am already regretting my decision to have moved over to Vodacom. I even went in to a store yesterday and all they told me was that I need to call the call center.

I understood from the beginning of my application that since I had done it online that it may be a bit more complicated. However this is pathetic, Vodacom ported my number before I got my device and then when I receive my device the port was incomplete and I could not receive voice calls. This process started 3 weeks ago and no one is able to fix the problem or have the decency to communicate to me from their side.

Vodacom does not even deserve 1 star! Their after sales service is absolutely pathetic! IF someone from Vodacom has the DECENCY to contact me to reply to this post please do so via email... since I cannot receive calls on the number you have for me, since you have not done your job properly!

Thank you for addressing my query. It’s a pity that I needed to go to this extreme to get a response. However, as they say... all is well, that ends well.
