I MUST BE INCONVENIENCED BECAUSE OF AN INCOMPETANT EMPLOYEE

On the 17 July I phoned Vodacom to request a cheaper package as I had been retrenched and I did not require the data and air time that I currently had. I was also due for an upgrade. When I phoned I spoke to a lady with a username of NAIDK002. I explained the situation to her and told her I need to reduce the cost of my contract and I told her why. She then put me on a Flexi 65. While speaking to her I asked her if I would be able to UPGRADE at a later stage as I did not want to UPGRADE just then because I could not afford it. Great everything was sorted or so I thought. I have just been to a Vodacom dealership to upgrade my daughter's phone and seeing that I have been employed I thought I would take advantage of the current deals and also UPGRADE. But low and behold I was told that I have already UPGRADED. Well I lost it, I took a cheaper package with no new phone but I HAVE BEEN UPGRADED. When I told them what had happened I was informed that it would take months to sort out my problem so the best advice that they could give me is to cancel my contract, oh and by the way this was advice given by another Vodacom consultant. So when I agreed to this I was then informed that I would have to pay a penalty because I wanted to cancel my contract straight away. WHY THE HELL SHOULD I BE INCONVENIENCED FOR THEIR EMPLOYEE WHO IS INCOMPETANT AT HER JOB. I have been with Vodacom for 20 years and this is how they treat loyal customers. I have always paid my account, they have never had to hand me over, I even paid my account when I was retrenched and this is the level of service that I receive!!! So if my problem is not sorted out without any expense on my part BY MONDAY 30 NOVEMBER I will cancel my contract with Vodacom and wait the month and then I will take my business else where.
