I'm being ****** and Vodacom refuses to respond

With my most recent upgrade in March, I requested my existing insurance cancelled, as I could not afford it on the new handset. A month later, my debit order had been automatically increased, without my consent or knowledge, to include the increased insurance premium.

I contacted Vodacom/CellSure and had this cancelled. I received an SMS confirming the cancellation (see attached). However, in April, the faulty insurance was once again deducted. I again cancelled the insurance, and was promised that I would be credited for the faulty deduction.

This has happened every month up to the present. In July I cancelled my debit order, hoping that this would force Vodacom to address the matter, and at least stop them from yet another wrongful deduction. Instead they merely decided to block my outgoing calls and messages, because I'm in "arrears" according to their records (odd that their records don't show that Vodacom/CellSure owes me nearly R1 000 in credit).

In the past week I've emailed Vodacom and CellSure several times without receiving any reply. I've tried contacting them on Facebook and received the same. Numerous calls to the call centres have also delivered nothing but dropped calls and incompetence. I went in store and received the same shrug of the shoulders. "we can't help you here".

Basically Vodacom can therefore do whatever they want, and the customer has no recourse. You can't solve a problem if you can't communicate with your provider. Although I've been a client for over a decade, Vodacom chooses to treat me like dirt. I've basically been ****** of nearly R1 000, have had to suffer untold frustration in trying to solve the issue, and now have been without a phone for nearly two weeks because of Vodacom's incompetence.

At this point it seems that the only solution is for Cell C to buy out my contract, as Vodacom doesn't seem willing or able to amend their mistakes.
