I like to express my utter disappointment I have with Vodacom upgrades

let me begin my story with stating that I have been a Vodacom user for over 20 years and have had my number from back then when I was a wee lad using my every rand to buy airtime back then when I was a broke young lad, well im still broke but that’s besides the point, getting to my topic on hand, im currently due for an upgrade and Vodacom had this great deal for a s23+ on black Friday, I was one of the lucky ones to apply online for the deal before it was removed from they website or so I thought, everything went trough up to a point where it didn’t , what happened was I ordered the phone everything was on hand for delivery as I arranged, I spoke to one of the agents to confirm my delivery and while I had my discussion with her I asked if it was possible to change the color of my device and even though it wasn’t possible I still asked her to arrange delivery, this was on a Thursday and expected my delivery to come trough the next Friday as arranged, I have made arrangements on my end for collection, Friday came and went, I did a follow up call on Saturday to find out what happened, and to my shock I find out that my order was cancelled, reason being client requested a alternate color, instead of someone from Vodacom picking up the phone and confirmed my cancellation or let me know anything they just felt its better to cancel because there was a high demand for it and found a loophole to ***** me over, I spent that whole week there after speaking to agent after agent to try and resolve this issue and they all advised the deal was no longer on the system, eventually I asked to speak to a manager, they advised they working from home and a manager will need to contact me back, that dragged on for a while lets put it this way no 1 helped me the entire week, eventually with much frustration I managed to get hold of Kerryn Sindicich who supposedly a team leader or manager, she assured me she escalated it to her high up managers and she would get back to me, she advised she got no direct contact no so I will have to contact her via the upgrades line, im sure you can guess how that went, every agent I spoke to couldn’t patch me trough, she advised she would also respond to me via mail as well, with very little to no feedback, last update she advise that there was a user who took out the contract and wasn’t happy with the device and returned it, I agreed to take it even though it was a open box so she advised me that she will reload the deal and contact me back which I’m still waiting for, I did advise her I will be going on holiday soon and will need it before then as i could have really used the device which I did make them aware that I need it before I leave, I think this was another ploy to stall me wanting me to cancel the deal, I think giving them over 3 weeks to sort out my issue is ample time. What really surprises me is that Vodacom is a huge company for them to even source a new device would not be an issue or at least give me a deal with the same value as the one I app**** for which they could not, if a manager cant resolve the issue I don’t know how us as consumers can even fight back, the amount of patience one needs to go through with the like of they call center and support is disappointing and the lack of authority to speak to when needed. I guess the only venting place I have right now is hello peter.

This is just a short story of the support process ive been through, the way Vodacom got out of a deal they could not deliver by cheating and lying to one of the loyal customers, I don’t know how to even handle the hurt and betrayal from such a service provider that I have been using for years.
