I have to been on prepaid for 6 months before I am allowed to get a new contract with my existing number.

My family and I have been a loyal Vodacom support for as long as I can remember. When our last contact ended 30/04/2017 we decided to cancel the contract which was under my dad's name. Seeing as we both work quite different hours we weren't able to switch the contract to my name as both of us had to be available at the same time. So we opted to switch to prepaid.

Once on prepaid I now wanted to open a new contract on my name but Vodacom refuses to give me a new contract on my existing number stating I have to been on prepaid for 6 months before I am allowed to get a new contract with my existing number. I use this number for my work and do not want to get a new number however I don't want to stay on prepaid. When my dad canceled the contract he was not informed of the waiting period. Multiple consultants has informed me that the terms and conditions state the six months rule however I am still unable to find it online in any of the terms and conditions.
