I have been handed over for Vodacoms mistake
I took a contract with Vodacom at Game Store at the Mall of Africa on the 19/01/2018 and I was assisted by Thozama Tyhaliti who was not helpful at all. She realised that there was a block from Vodacom, from my last contract and told me that because of this She is waiting for their feedback to proceed with opening another contract for me and that they have to fax the documents to Vodacom and wait for their response. She said they won’t be able to assist me on that day. I advised her that I would call Vodacom from my cell phone while at the store. Thozama then decided to go on Lunch without advising me. Vodacom advised me that it will take 2 hours to remove the block not according to what she said. After 2hours I went back to the shop only to find out that she already knocked off and I had to beg the staff to assist me. Tumi, one of the sales consultant continued to open the contract however he was not happy, and I could clearly see this by his facial expression. He went to fetch the phone from the back office and just left me waiting there without him telling where he was going, I ended up waiting an hoping that he would reappear but it felt like forever. As per the contract I asked them that I want to use my old contract number however they gave me a new number. I signed a contract for debit order, they captured it as cash. I am saying this because I received a call from Vodacom advising me that I did not pay. I asked them how this could be possible as, my bank account has funds and was advised according to their system I must pay cash. I went to their Vodacom shop twice on the 25/02/2018 and 11/04/2018, their system was down I could not make a payment, I still have both slips as proof. The Vodacom lady advised me that if I can pay cash they will be able to change it back to debit order. That was not a fair process at all, this should have been done from the very beginning, now I sit with an inconvenience having to pay cash in order for my initial request to be granted. I do not want to make payment manually, I don’t have the time to do this and your consultants should have LISTENED the first time. This is causing me a tremendous amount of stress and its inconveniencing me beyond my capacity. This situation has now led to me being handed over for your incapable staff that are rude and arrogant and that have no customer service, yet I endure this situation under duress. I have since been back to your store at the Mall of the south, I have spoken with the store manager to assist me and he had appointed Thumi to assist, I was promised a call back and assistance, to date I have not received any phone call, or assistance. Vodacom has let me down. The store has let Vodacom down and the Staff has let your reputation down.
I am extremely disappointed by the manner in which I am being treated by the attorneys Jacobs Barnard and Associates. I find Mr Wilson extremely rude and unprofessional. He is treating me like a ******** and the more I try to explain my situation, the more he speaks to me in the most disrespectful and condescending way. He said Vodacom tried to debit my account however there are no funds. I have proof that my account had funds since January 2018. I am very disappointed, I now want this matter to be dealt with from the highest level, if I am one customer having to be subjected to this kind of ill treatments, how many more customers are subjected to the same or worse type of service. I demand that my name be removed from the credit bureau as this will have a huge impact on me for Vodacom’s mistake and lack of proper training you provide to your staff.
