I echo the previous complainant's word for Vodacom as Vodahell. Well said!

#1. I've been a Vodacom business customer since Nov 2003. I have never spent less that R1 200.00 and now my account exceeds my contract bewteen R500-00 to R1200-00 a month. My average billing is between R2 000-00 to R2400.00 per month. Data just disapears overnight.

#2. I'm on a Red Adnvace Classic since Dec 2015. Two phones and one internet Wi-Fi. Main Cell has 1GB data, 700 minutes and unlimited SMS's. secomd Phone on My Choice Top Up and a Wi-Fi.

#3. I uograded the My Choice Top Up in Sept 2015. I then Upograded the my Main Cell to a Red Advance on 1st Dec 2015. Accoungt paid and a shortfal of R250-00 or so.

#4. A week later a received a call from a Vodacom Call centre agnet and telling me I'm R4 300.00 in arrears and I need to pay immediately. I complained about a overnight 1GB data that was charged at R952.00 for an over bundle rate and they did kindly credit that R952.00 but I refused to pay the balance of R3 300.oo until proof could be given, which never was given in detail.

#5. I then received an SMSin January 2016 with an arrears amount of R6 300.00 which also made my Red in anger. I still refused to accept liability and asked for proof. I was DEREGISTERED ON ALL 3 ITEMS AFTER 2 DAYS. MY NUMBERS DID NO LONGER EXIST AND MY WEBSITE BLOCKED. I could not get any itemised billing for proof of account.

#6. I spent in total about 6 hours on the phone with Vodacom Collections and tried to talk to someone at legal. All they do is put you on a automatic computer generated call WHICH HITS A DEADEND.

( A total of 2 working days of which 2 hours on the phone to Vodahell one day continious with no luck, and not mentioning the other calls and the 4 or 5 times between Estagate Vodashop and Greenstone Vodacom Customer care).

#7. A week later I received an email account and threat that I have breached the business contract and I owe Vodacom R32 000-00 immediately. Another week past and another accoiunt of R36 000-00 with a threat and another week later another account for R42 000-00 with a threat that they will take immediate legal action if I don't pay. i still could not talk to any "LIVING PERSON" at a legal division.

#8. I called Vodaworld direct and asaked to speak to the CEO as I have had enough! I was kept on hold for 12 minutes and then suddenly asked to hold an again for another 14 minutes and when she did the same after 26 minuts I had to shout to talk to me. She said the CEO is too busy and will put me through to the supervisor which she did. I asked the supervisor to transfer me to the Legal Dept wher i can speak to a LIVING PERSON. She promised she will by-pass the computer system, i held on for a few minutes and the again it asked me to enter my ID no as before and it just repeats that it does not regocnise mt ID Number and cancels the call again. FRUSTRATION AS NO ONE KNOWS!!

#9. I then went back to Eastegate and was helped by a kind Indian employee. He gave a an email and a Dispute number where to lodge a legal complaint. WHY DID THEY NOT DO THAT IN THE BEGINING. This was about a month later. I wrote an email and threatened to complain on HELLO PETER , which i did not until now. I then was suddenly copied in on emails travelling between the legal divison and accounts et.c i then got a call in Early April 2016, all numbers still deregistered and loosing on naveregae R15 000-00 pm on incoming clients calls for business. I was then using a Telkom Mobile PAY-AS-You -Go for so cheap, it was a pleasure.

#10. An African Legal representative from Vodacom called me in a calm controled friendly voice and said they are looking at the dispute. I offered to pay R2 000,00 to keep my business name clean. I even offered to pay the r6 300.00 off over 3 months whilst waiting to the dispute to be resolved without being re-connected.

#11. By the end of the 1st week in may 2016 i called the same legal representative on his direct line and he suddenlt said: DON'T PAY , IT WAS VODACOMS ERROR"! YOU ARE IN CREDIT!

HOW DO YOU THINK I FELT AT THAT MOMENT?!

My Clients already thought I have closed shop after 24 year as a broker and friends asking funny questions: Why can’t we get hold of you on your cell and all those embarrassing questions.

#12. I asked the legal representative:

Tell me what have you discovered with my account?

He said that it was a systems error as the system cancelled my 2nd phone upgrade contract internally and billed the full outstanding Cell Phone account in one month’s bill.

NOW I WAS THREATENED WITH LEAGAL ACTION By VODACOM AND ALL MY NUMBERS HAD BEEN DEREGISTERED FOR 4 MONTHS ALREADY. THIS IS HUGELY UNFAIR.

I HAD TO SIGN A DISCLAIMER THAT I WON’T GO LEGAL SO TO BE REACTIVATED AGAIN.

#13. Today I numeroius calls to talk to an agent about DATA, I realised the same service. You get transferred to the same automated call line and eventually a ladies pre-recorded voice comes on saying: “The number you dialled does not exist” ???? And that after you select your options. COME ON VODACOM, YOU ARE FALSLY ADVERTISING YOUR 1ST WORLD SERVICE OFFEREINGS. WE ARE YOUR CLIENTS THAT PAYS YOUR RENT, SALARIES AND BONUSES. WHY DO YOU GIVE US THE RAW END OF THE STICK. We are totally controlled.

#14. Did you know that when you are out of dada bundle with your contract and you want to re-purchase you first need to pay your little bit over over-spill that you exceeded on your data before you should buy additional data bundles e,g, 1GB for R149.00? Yes that is so. If you buy new additional Data bundle even if you owe R50.00 then your new bundle will not be registered and Vodacom will still charge you Out OF BUNDLR RATES at R952.00 for 1 GB of Data. BEWARE. THEY DID NOT INFORM US PROPERLY.

Irate Client. I gave then 0 scores for client service as my issue was not resolved today after 4 attempts and they make as if you don’t know what you are doing.

Reviewer Update
Dear Vodacom,

You're at it again. Your reply to me on the 14th March 2017 has still not been made by your consultant, and now you are making bad accounting mistakes and blaming me for it again.

1. Your telesales team offered me small migrations on two of my business phones and goes and migrate it on my WI-Fi 4g instead which I never asked for since 1st May 2019. I asked for it to be reversed at the time and I was told that I must lodge a dispute. Last week a lady from Vodacom phoned me to reverse all the migrations to its original contract prior to May 2019.

2. I paid my account today which should only be around R1 185.00 (U Choose Top-Up), which I was supposed to pay latest by yesterday but forgot being very busy, and today they refused to switch me on as I was told I still owe another R2 500-00, which I don't.

3. I buy prepaid airtime for two phones, additional to the contract amount, every month after the U-Choose Top-Up has run out, which is about another R1 300-00 pm. There is a fixed bill pm before one tops-up.

4. Now the service agent at Vodacom Business accounts refuses to switch my phones on as he said that I still owe another R2 500-00. For What??? for the error that the Telesales agent made and I have to pay.

5. Vodacom made a big error in 2016 January with my account, (See first report above), and deregistered all three numbers for 5 months. After lodging a dispute with Vodacom Legal, The Vodacom Legal division admitted only in May 2016 that it was their fault.

6. The reason is that the system canceled a new phone contract of 2 years on my business account and billed the Full Phone price as an outstanding amount on my account and said I was in arrears.

7. After Vodacom admitted their mistake they asked me if I wanted my original numbers back which I confirmed YES, as I needed it for business, a legal consultant (lady) then sent me a disclaimer to sign that I will not go to the media or wherever, or they will not switch me on. How is that for a gun in the back. Now that Vodacom has employed an *********** telesales consultant that makes mistakes, and I am been billed wrongly for their errors, I get blamed for short payment and they refuse to switch me on for their mistakes. Really??

I think we need a class action with many Vodacom customers and expose it to the media. Those who would like to lodge a class action for similar bad service and expose their frustrations with Vodacom, can email me ***. or reply here below.
