I don't live in debt so Vodacom doesn't want me

Was a Vodacom contract customer for 9 years then moved to prepaid in 2014.
Now app**** for a data contract online.
Very friendly and helpful lady called me and did an application over the phone, that included a credit check.
Vodacom's systems declined my application because I have no credit profile.
Apparently I need to open an account somewhere and show that I'm buying on credit before they will give me a contract.
I have an Edgars account but I almost never use it as I prefer to pay cash.
I have a bond, but that doesn't count as credit.
I have a credit card - but that doesn't count as credit.
I have an account for data through Afrihost but that doesn't count as credit.
Was advised to jump through hoops to get the application reviewed. (stamped bank statements, ID, payslip)
Jumped through the hoops only to be told that the \review department"won't even consider doing a review on my application because I don't have a credit profile.

So I am being discriminated against because I don't have half a dozen credit accounts everywhere and Vodacom's credit systems can't see that I have a credit card and a bond."""
