I DEMAND THAT VODACOM RELEASE MY PREPAID NUMBER TO ALLOW SWITCHING TO MTN.

Vodacom, I was your client for more than 30 years. Eventually I had enough of your poor service, greed and incompetence. During April 2025 I decided to cancel my last contract by doing a premature cancellation. I did a EFT payment for the cancellation and waited for response - none came. After endless lies and misleading attempts from agents at the call centres I woke up this morning without a vodacom-contract and back to prepaid where I started my mobile journey 31 years ago. Quite excited I sent the porting SMS-message to MTN to switch my existing number over to them. After a 2 hour wait the answer came back. Vodacom decline my request. So back to the call centre where I was told that I have to wait another 30 days before they will release my number. I hereby reject this answer and DEMAND my number released. The 1 star rating above, which I was forced to do will haunt me forever. And I forgot, I was told by a call centre agent that he wont listen to my “RAPP” when explaining my issues.

I closed my eyes and Prayed to the Lord for assistance and within half an hour my porting to MTN succeeded. Vodacom released my number and MTN received the port request. AMEN!
