I cancelled Vodacom fibre on this on this day the 28 October 2022 and paid R1559
I cancelled Vodacom fibre on this on this day the 28 October 2022 and paid R1559.74 areas so that the cancellation can go through. I called them several times for cancellation letter until they send it in November 2022. They then called me again in February 2023 sayın I owe them R645.28 I then paid that again. All this the contract was cancelled in October 2022. Last week when I check my credit score and it says I missed payment for 6 from September 2022 till February 2023 months with Vodacom. Can someone help me fix this because it’s affecting my credit score and it must be resolved

01 Aug 2024, 16:42I received a paid-up letter from Vodacom’s attorneys, but this is not what I was looking for. Vodacom incorrectly shows that I missed payments from September 2022 to February 2023. This is incorrect as I closed my account on October 28, 2022. I requested proof of cancellation, and they promised to send it, which they finally did in November 2022.
The background to why I cancelled Vodacom Fibre is that I moved to a new place, and they falsely claimed to have Vodacom coverage there. I waited for the entire months of September and October 2022 for installation. I told them I would pay for those two months once the service was installed, but it never happened. I had to settle the balance for those months without Wi-Fi and cancel the service on October 28, 2022.
In February 2023, they called me again, demanding R645.28. I didn’t understand what this amount was for and tried to escalate the issue, but they refused to do so. I was forced to pay the R645.28 despite my account being cancelled.
It’s disheartening that Vodacom recorded these as missed payments when, to my understanding, the account was already closed.
