I cancelled my Vodacom contract but they still took money from my account. Plus the call centre is not helpful.
Good day.
I phoned Vodacom contract cancellation department to cancel my contract. My last payment date was meant to be October 1st 2017. I cancelled due to electing NOT to upgrade at the end of my contract term. However money was taken from my account on November 1st.
I called the cancellation department twice, once in September (where the consultant I spoke to said the last payment date was October 1st). She asked me if I wanted to upgrade I said NO. She went on to offer me an airtime based contract where I'd receive airtime, I said I'd think about it, she said she'd get back to me , call me in two days time. She clearly did not cancel my contract then or call me after. I went onto call the cancellation department again in October to make sure my contract was cancelled. I found that it wasn't, and cancelled it yet again.
Vodacom, you have call logs and record calls. Please may you revisit those two calls I made to cancel in September and in October to confirm.
I was surprised when a payment went off my account on the November 1st. And was told that this was because i have already been issued Airtime. Why was I issued this airtime anyway, why was i not informed that they would continue to charge my account? why did i not get a phone call, sms, etc notifying me of all these things? And even if they may have justified that they gave me airtime, WHY THE HELL DID THEY CHARGE ME FOR THE HANDSET AS WELL!!! So pretty much I paid almost 1200 rands for R399 of airtime I didn't even ask for????? Does this make any sense to you Vodacom?
I want my money back. Please address this issue immediately.
You know the sad part is I wanted to open new fibre contract with you and I just insured my phone through you guys. This mess just makes me want to reconsider having any relationship with Vodacom anymore.
