I cancelled due to poor service and now my fiber is held hostage.

I cancelled my month-to-month home fiber contract in November 2020 due to poor service. The 6th December, after I went through all the paperwork and agreed to the penalty charge (yes, it was a month to month but i still had to pay an exit fee, for the router, small print and not really a lot of money) , I got an email confirming my service will be cancelled 31/12/2020. Today, 6 Jan 2021 my new provider can still not connect me as vodacom is not releasing my fibre line on the system. I tried sending mails, it is rejected due to reference number being closed. I am out of the country so trying the short code numbers is not going through and no line for calls from abroad is available. SR*** I cancelled due to poor service and now my fiber is held hostage. What am I to do?

So here we go again.
On 13 Jan vodacom rep**** with a private response, even an SR number. According to their system, it will be resolved within max 72 hours, what a Joke. Spoke to voda-doo-little last week Tuesday, again an SR is created (very helpful call centre person)
Nothing
Spoke to them again today, everyone refers to the "back office", "we will send a mail to the back office", "no I can't say why it is taking so long, I will send a mail to the back office".

So here's the thing, I have had similar **** with other companies, like all people that find their way to Hellopeter. The difference is that on issues as insignificant as this, it is possible to resolve the problem within a call or two, not the vodacom clowns.
I told the helpful person this morning that she should realise that they are my venting point,
I will continue calling them and use the language I speak when voda**** is discussed, she kept quiet, she must have also long ago realised that she works for a dump.

So honestly, I have had easier times with contested insurance claims than with vodacom.
vodacom is not healthy, the organisation is broken. They have become that fat-rich guy that drives over your kid's toy and say ****them, they need me. They don't care about us the people, they don't know the stress of a parent with three kids doing online classes with connectivity issues.
Is the MTN supplier going to be different, I hope so. If not I will have to move to the next and so on. I can tell you that it will not be voda-fat-rich-dude-cum.

Hey voda-person, reply public. Why not? Show your fat shiny cheeks to the public. You can do it!
