I am not happy with your service

Yesterday evening I purchased 7GB of data and did not use it, as I went to bed shortly afterwards. However, when I woke up this morning, the data was completely depleted, which does not make sense.

I contacted Customer Care and spoke with Viwe Ndima, who confirmed that on his system it reflects that I have 37GB of data, while on my side it shows 0GB. He also mentioned that there are system issues and advised that he would revert to me with feedback before 9am.

I have been waiting for feedback since then and have not received any update. This is very concerning, as there is no reasonable explanation for 7GB of data to be depleted overnight while I was asleep and not actively using my device.

Kindly investigate this matter urgently, provide feedback, and restore my data, as this appears to be a system discrepancy rather than actual usage.

I would like to commend Zinhle Tomose for the excellent way she handled my query. She was efficient, respectful, and genuinely listened to understand my concern rather than listening to respond. Despite my frustration, she remained calm, made sense of what I was raising, consulted where necessary, and came back with clear and proper feedback. Her professionalism and empathy significantly improved my experience.
However, I would like to raise serious concerns regarding my interaction with Aviwe Ndima. I initially contacted him at around 6am, and he promised to revert to me before 9am with feedback. I waited, but no call was received. I then had to follow up myself at 1pm, only to be told, “I’m sorry, I was busy.” I found this response unprofessional, especially considering that he had committed to calling me back.
Additionally, I felt that the engagement was defensive and lacked empathy. Instead of listening with understanding, I was told that I did not switch off my data and that I am the one using my phone. Given the unusual depletion of a large amount of data in less than 24 hours, this response felt dismissive and unhelpful.
It is also concerning that had I not called again and eventually spoken to Zinhle, I may not have received proper assistance. It should not require multiple follow-ups from a customer to receive feedback that was promised.
I strongly recommend additional training for Aviwe in soft skills, respectful communication, active listening, accountability, and handling customer frustrations without becoming defensive. Customers expect professionalism, follow-through on commitments, and to be treated with understanding.
