I AM BEING PENALISED FOR VODACOMS ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT ERROR

I have multiple BUSINESS contracts with Vodacom altogether costing me around R 10 000.00 per month. Some of those contracts date back to 2008.

In 2014 two of these contracts were up for renewal and upon taking my upgrade option the debit order banking details were not captured in your back office. This is already severe negligence as my banking details have always been the same for ALL of my contracts not just these two.

As a result those two contracts were not debited and my account went into arrears. After having no luck rectifying this isse with the call centre I finally went into the Eastgate customer care premises in June 2015. I had to resubmit my banking details, fill out a form and pay in full the outstanding fees which had failed to be debited. All of which was done and I was assured that there would be no further issues relating to this.

The contracts were indeed direct debited in June 2015 but then AGAIN failed to be debited in July, August, September 2015. October, November, December 2015 and January 2016 WERE debited as normal again.

Then nothing. How can a company the size of Vodacom with literlally millions of subscribers on automated debit order mess mine up?

All of a sudden I am being harrased by Hammond & Poole Attorneys saying that I have been handed over by Vodacom for failure to pay my accounts. All the while every single one of my other multiple business contracts with Vodacom are being debited each and every month on the same banking details for close to 10k per month.

Again, I have had to go into the Eastgate customer care premises multiple times over many months to have this issue sorted out.

Finally last week I was infomred that the legal department had agreed that it was an error from Vodacom's side as it doesnt make sense to debit me some months and not others and they have reactivated the accounts and swapped the sims at no charge as a sign that they accept liability in this matter. In fact, it turns out that these two contracts are actually in CREDIT with Vodacom. So going from being handed over to attorneys for being arrears when you finally sort out your issues it turns out you owe me money?

Although I have now lost those two contract numbers as they were allocated to another user now? Another inconvenience but one I am prepared to live with

However the issue now is that those two contracts should be up for renewal/ upgrade right now but now Vodacom are telling me that the term dates have been pushed back to the end of next year?!

This is totally unacceptable. This is an error from Vodacom's side, I did nothing wrong and am as a result of their negligence being penalised by not being able to upgrade my contracts to new hand sets.

I have multiple contracts that I pay in excess of R 10k per month and if these term dates are not rolled back to being available for upgradre immediately as they should be or cancelled with immediate effect with no cancellation fees I will be taking ALL my business to one of the other cellular provicers.
