Huawei P40 lite midnight
I went to the chatz connect store at mall@carnival to upgrade my contract. I decided on a contract where you get 2 Huawei P40 lite phones. The sales consoltant Michelle told us that Huawei also gives us a 100 day free screen replacement from date of purchace, which was 10 March 2021. Unfortunately my daughtet had an accident with her phone and therefore we had to take the phone for repair. We went to the Vodacom Red shop in carnival mall on 8 June 2021 because the one we upgraded at closed down. The service centre booked the phone in to send to Huawei repair centre as it was still in the 100 days. After 2 weeks we went back to the store to hear whats going on because we got an sms saying we have to pay R2800 to get the screen replaced. The service centre guy told us they made a mistake, they have send the phone to vodacoms repair centre and not Huawei, but they will rectify it and will take the cost on them as wr booked the phone to vodacom before the 100 days. After a week we received a call to say we must come and collect the phone. We got to vodacom on the 5 July 2021 and they told us to take the phone to SSS Cellular in Bartlett ourselves as the Huawei Rep was not in the store as yet. We left vodacom and took the phone to SSS Cellular immediatly. The next day SSS Cellular phoned us and said that the free screen replacement was not activated in store when we bought the phones, which means we have to pay R2200 to get it replaced and if we wish not to proceed we have to pay R215 to get the phone back from them. NOW how is it our fault that the free screen replacement was not activated in store... Michelle took both phones and actived stuff on the phone aswell as the Huawei app store as this was our firs time for ever using Huawei phones! Is'nt vodacoms staff trained to do this kind of things? They are fast to ask for the R150 instore new contract fee to be paid. Not once has age told us to go and register afterwards for anything, wr would have done ao if she did. But we were told everything was sorted. Now that we have to claim, now we were not registered Staff thats suppose to be trained for this kind of things, the customers knows nothing of these kind of stuff because we're not working for vodacom, we didn't go for traing.... WHO is going to pay thos R2200 to get the phone fixed???? I think this is vodacoms problem and should fix this phone on their cost or the sales lady that forgot to activate it???? I would like some feedback on this because no one wants to give me vodacoms area managars contact details. Sales consolatant/cashier #6-V5410 michelle
