Huawei Google mess up!
I upgraded my contract at Centurion Mall yesterday for the Huawei P40 Pro! Big mistake! I never knew that Huawei does not support Google! I went back to the store today to get it sorted! But no can do! They have to send the phone to Huawei in order to get permission to exchange it, but because it's not faulty it is least likely to happen!
The salesperson did not explain this to me, although I have a signed contract to prove otherwise! The supervisor is not helping. He is all about paperwork. I also never received the signed contract. The contract was so rushed and it was not explained to me! Judging by the numerous complaints on Hello Peter, nobody is informed about this! I only heard about the app gallery when my data was transfered by the technician.
As a business owner, I now sit with a paperweight that can take amazing pics (apparently). I cannot do payments via FNB because it's not available yet. The supervisor actually downloaded the fnb app from somewhere but because Google Pay is not supported I cannot approve my payments!
You can find a workaround, but it's neither recommended by Huawei nor will Vodacom accept liability for third party applications. Errr! Quite contradictory if you think that the Supervisor downloaded the fnb app on my behalf! When I went there to complain!
Why would you sell a phone that you know won't work in SA! It's as if we don't suffer enough! Now this! What the actual F!
