How vodacom holds customers hostage despite failing to provide services
How Vodacom robs their clients... I took up 3 Black Friday contracts with Vodacom. 2 upgrades and 1 add a line. The Upfront fees were paid in store. My debit orders normally go off on the 15th. Without informing me, Vodacom claimed to have put through a debit order on the 1st of December, they claimed it was rejected by the bank and my account was now in Arreas. Today, they suspended my account. No notification... bare in mind these contracts were taken out on the 16th of November 2024. When I went to the store and attempted to cancel these contracts, Vodacom claims that they will charge an 'Eatlrly cancellation fees' that's daylight *******. A customer is cancellation because you can not provide evidence that you tried to debit their bank account and it was rejected. According to my Personal banker at Standard bank, there was no such transaction or rejection.
