How to get the run around the mill...Well Done Vodacom ***Worst Customer Service Ever

I upgraded in September 2015, i requested insusrance on my new device a Samsung S6 Edge + . Almost 3 weeks after i was ****** within my apartment. Traumatic to say the least.

Reported my phone ****** to the Police station, i went off to my nearest Vodacom Store to do a sim swap and find out how to claim for my device. They checked my account, i was then told that insurance was not active, they said was probably a minor formaility and if i contact the onlines team they would resolve.

I called the Online team and was told to log a complaint via email.

Below is a copy of the online email i submitted - i copied this to my personal account.

Email sent: 19th October
**********
Email Reads

Firstly i upgraded in September. I am certain i requested for insurance. I have been ****** in my house a week ago and now am paying a contract which i do not have a phone for.

Secondly i don’t receive statements but seems i am being charged for a BB10 service which i happened to pick up whilst inquiring if my insurance was active in last week.

Thirdly i would like to know what i would need to pay if i was to cancel this contract and take a new contract as i don’t have a phone of my own anymore.

I am extremely disgruntled and wish for a speedy resolution.

I would like to continue my service with Vodacom and am interested in taking a data contract with a laptop but only if i can get the above resolved.

I have been advised by a Vodacom representative that if i was to waive insurance i would have had to sign a form.

Now i completed my order through Vodacom online.

So what now?

I would like a speedy resolution. I have blacklisted the new phone through the Vodacom store in Kenilworth centre last week.

I received a response to the email with reference 007B~BNZR on 19th October 10:18pm.

Below is a summary of what i have experienced since then

Since then I have been calling every month and spoken to numerous people with no resolution, I have been promised that things would be rectified as soon as 2 weeks.

The most recent a text message which read REF NUMBER – 1- ********** 6106 has been closed - June 25th 2016

Below an email sent to Cellsure as directed via a Customer Service Rep.

After almost an hour this morning between Vodacom Retentions Department, Vodacom Online and then Vodacom Customer Care I was advised to call Cellsure on ********** by Linda.

He also advised that the ref number which was closed had a finding which stated – Online Agents do not activate insurance and that I need to call Cell Share.

I truly hope for a speedy resolution as this has gone on for far too long.

Thanks for your help thus far.

The communication to the customer is non existant, i was receiving messsages to say Ref Number is closed, with no resolution or communication to me besides a sms which stated that ref no is closed.

This is almost a year on and i have lists of whom i had spoken to and times and dates, I feel cheated as a customer and still have to deal with Vodacom as a service provider for another year...

If nothing is resolved i will grit my teeth and not extend my contract past September 2017.

Your representation from a customer service standard is beyond unacceptable, perhaps your clientel base is to big.

You bill my account monthly relentlessly and my hard earned funds are taken away so quickly, i have not defaulted once on my account either.

How about you show me the consumer a little support.

Perhaps my expectations are too big to vent on here, but then i hope no one else has to experience what i have.
