How NOT to try and get a new phone.

Entering week 3 now of waiting for a new phone that I wanted to add to my contract.

Approval was done, received a message saying that the parcel was dispatched. After waiting for about a week and a half, I decided that it might be time to follow up. When I finally managed to get through to their sales department, I was told that the parcel was returned due to an incomplete address. Surprising, as the consultant had my full address on the screen. That point aside, why did no one bother to inform me of this? I was told to wait another 48 hours for delivery. After phoning back 5 days later, without my phone being delivered, a new consultant informed that the parcel is still on the way back from the courier and that they'd be able to dispatch it again, once they received it. I'm assuming this will probably take place within the next millennium, if I'm lucky.

Vodacom, we live on a planet where it's possible to courier something across the ocean within 48 hours. You have made it quite clear that you can't even deliver within one city in three weeks' time.

Shocking, to say the very least... Good luck building a business and keeping your customers this way.

Reviewer Update
As an update. I have tried to contact Vodacom to cancel the new line application, as your promise of a consultant getting in touch me with, hasn't yet realized. I must this, I am very surprised that you didn't stick to your promise (I'm sure you understand sarcasm).

I'm being told that I cannot cancel my application until the parcel is back at Vodacom.
No one can tell me where the package is or how long it's going to take. I am unable to continue my new line application at the store, due to this application being on my name THAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR SINCE THE 25TH OF NOVEMBER! THE DATE TODAY IS THE 10TH OF DECEMBER!

I will start making arrangements to port my current number to a service provider that actually knows what they're doing and understands the term "customer satisfaction". If you manage to achieve anything today, make sure that you start the paperwork on my contract cancellation.
