How does this work?
<p>I accidentally entered my SIM pin incorrectly 3 times this morning and my SIM was locked. My phone promted me to enter my PUK number, which I did not have. I called Vodacom from my work landline as I obviously could not use my cellphone. I was able to retrieve my PUK through self service without verifying ANY of my credentials. So my question is: HOW DOES MY PIN PROTECT MY PHONE IN ANYONE CAN CALL IN TO RETRIEVE MY PUK AND SET A NEW PIN? Please explain. </p>
