How can Vodacom be trusted when closing 3 separate service requests related to billing queries without any feedback?

I was horrified to discover in the beginning of September that my account has been debited by Vodacom since the end of May to until September at the time and now October, even though my Vodacom contract had come to an end and my number was ported to another mobile network provider at the end of May 2017.

I called Vodacom and it took me more than 1 hour on the phone (at my cost) to discuss the matter telephonically as I was sent from one agent to the next. They finally informed me that somehow a new number and contract THAT I DID NOT REQUEST was issued to me but the number had never been used as I was not even aware of this and did not request this.

I did not receive any feedback from Vodacom despite my two reference numbers and called back to receive confirmation that the matter would be investigated and I should be refunded on 2 October 2017. The agent confirmed that there would be no further debit orders on my account and my reference numbers would assist to arrange the reimbur*****t.

To my absolute shock my account was once again debited the very next day. I called once again and spoke to a new consultant that told me that all my queries had been resolved. I explained that it was in no way resolved as I had not been reimbursed for all the months that my account was debited at the end of my contract when my number was ported to a new provider at the end of May 2017. She issued me with a new service request number and she indicated that I would receive telephonic feedback as she clearly stipulated that I have requested telephonic feedback. To date I have not received any feedback or update from Vodacom despite numerous e-mails and 3 reference numbers for telephonic queries. How is this possible?

How can Vodacom continue to debit a customer's bank account for a contract that has come to an end but do not have the basic courtesy to contact customers with feedback for query resolution when 3 separate service requests that have been opened for the same issue? This is completely unacceptable and not expected from an organization like Vodacom.

How can Vodacom be trusted when there is no feedback on such important queries that simply get swept under the rug?
