HORRIFIC Service - being charged for somebody else's Data Contract (NO Reimbur*****t)!!!

Right now, my Father-in-Law, is moving around, performing business, losing business, by having to ask people if he can make calls from their phone, as Vodacom have truly messed up and have lost him money, not in the last 72 hours, but 34 months!!!

On Wednesday, 14 December 2016 at 14:43; I dealt with Vodacom Customer Care trying to obtain information as to why my Father-in-Law has been paying an additional R220 - R230 per month. It was all included in his bill, so he was unware thinking that he was just talking those extra minutes each month.

Came 4 January 2017; I had to contact Vodacom 'again', as they still hadn't got back to me regarding the matter of my Father-in-Law being charged for the number 079 *** *335 that isn’t his.

In dialling in, I was told that the ID # I entered does not exist, however, he is still an active client? I was then asked for the cell number (079 *** *335), which I provided, only to be told the same thing again?
I then dealt with Consultants who tried to resolve the matter, as they said “they would be able to”, as they could see the two (2) active numbers (yet their system didn't identify his ID #, nor the cell number?) and that they both belong to my Father-in-Law.

I argued telling them that he has one (1) active number (082 *** ***2) and provided them with his actual number, again! Thereafter, I was told to email Proof of ID and Confirmation of the Company Name that both numbers were registered to. So I did.

Came 19 January 2017 at 12:57pm; I contacted Vodacom again, only for the consultant who took my call, to inform me that it is a different department that I emailed (yet it was the email address "Customer Care" provided me with), so they did not receive it! I then said I would email the documents again, but was told it was not necessary! That consultant was SO stubborn, as I said I no longer wanted her assistance, I wanted to speak to a Manger..."No I can't do that sir, as I can help you", really!!!

I eventually got my way and spoke to a "so called manager", Mampale Lilian Maphisa.

After repeating myself for the 5th or 6th time in a period of 45mins, I was told by Mampale Lilian Maphisa, "that you need to provide us with a Bank Statement showing Proof of Payment, Copy of ID and Company Letterhead". In reply, I said “that there isn’t going to be a Proof of Payment on the Bank Statement, as he goes directly into Vodacom Bethlehem (who have been of GREAT assistance compared to the Head Office), and makes his monthly payment there!”

I then contacted my Father-in-Law, asking him to head into Vodacom Bethlehem and receive a copy of his Proof of Payment from them, which he did and I then emailed the requested documents across to Mampale Lilian Maphisa.

Surprisingly, I received a call from Mampale Lilian Maphisa yesterday, 1 February 2017 at 15:09.
She told me that there is nothing she can do, as I did not provide her with a Bank Statement. I calmly said that the Proof of Payment I emailed to her, was what we received directly from Vodacom Bethlehem, and that it was pointless me providing her with the Bank Statement as all the proof was in front of her.

Only to be told, that she was able to view the payment I presented her with, in the system, but still needs to see the Bank Statement. What Proof of Pay are you going to see in the Bank Statement, if the account is paid in cash in the Bethlehem office?

Mampale Lilian Maphisa, said she would phone my Father-in-Law to resolve this matter, directly after my call yesterday, which has yet to happen to date...the date & time now being 2 February 2017, 14:55.

Before hanging up on me, she then had the audacity to briefly say; “that if this is the situation, then I must contact Vodacom Accounts Department” for them to take care of the matter in hand (re-imbur*****t) of another lady's number & bill being on our account.

Mampale Lilian Maphisa, you knew from the outset, along with your consultants, that we wanted a reimbur*****t for Vodacom's mistake. Why did you put me through hell, to tell me hours later that I must now contact another department?

Is there ANYBODY in the Vodacom office who knows how to Activate a client’s phone and reimburse a Client for paying somebody else's account over 3 years??? The Proof is in Vodacom’s system!!!

Dear Vodacom,
Vodacom are obviously responding without reading what was said, as you stated the following; "Kindly be advised that a consultant will make contact with you"
Vodacom Consultants and Managers have NO idea how to handle the situation that you put my Father-in-Law's in, so maybe put me in contact with somebody who does!
Secondly, when will his phone become active again?

Good day Elroy,
I acknowledge your message.
Unfortuantely it has been 6 weeks and this has still not been resolved, as there are different facts and stories coming from everybody that I have dealt with.
I still don't understand as to why Ms. Mampale Lilian Maphisa was able to tell me that somebody else has been using the cell phone number discussed, whereby your Specialist Investigators refer to a 24 Month contract that was signed in 2007 - 9&1/2 years ago?
I look forward to receiving an explanation for that.
