Horrible service received - Disappointed client.
Vodacom's customer care is horrible. Not one call centre agent could assist. The left hand does know what the right hand is doing. I had a Vodacom contract for 3 years. The contract was due to end November 2025. I called the customer care department in October 2025 to cancel. I was offered a new contract. I accepted the contract. Three days later I called the cancellation department again to cancel my request as the phone that they were going to supply me with was a Huawei phone. This phone does not have android and will not be sufficient as I require android App's for work. I did note receive the phone and the new contract was cancelled. On the 04/11/25 I called the cancellations department again to make sure the old contract was cancelled. I was advised yes and all it in order, my last debit order will be at the end of November 2025. To my surprise, the contract debit order went off in December 2025. I called again on the 27/12/25, 2 hours of my life spent speaking to the various departments regarding query. As of today's date, the matter is still not resolved. Then because of the Vodacom contract deduction, there was not enough funds in my account for my Vodacom Wi-Fi to be paid. The debit order rejected, at my cost. One consultant actually said that another debit order will go off in January 2026, she apologies and said, " that is how it is". What? My contact ended and u still deducting. Simphiwe was the best, he did not know anything, he was not sure, but he will transfer me to customer care. I spoke to Nomathemba, very nice, pleasant, she wanted to assist but could not as it was not her department that deals with this type of queries. I was transferred to collections, refunds with no joy. I requested to speak to a senior consultant or supervisor, none was available. I requested to speak to a manager, not available. With the way things are going, I will still be paying this contract in June 2026. Am tempted to seek legal advice. Vodacom is slowly becoming a state-owned enterprise, judging by their service.
