Horrible Service Provider

Technology can take us far but with the power of humanity, we are able to go #FurtherTogether.

Vodacom presents itself as a business that cares about its customers in addition to offering excellent customer service.

As a devoted Vodacom client, I can state with cer*****y that this is untrue.

Over the past few weeks, I've had the worst experience with them.

They called and offered to upgrade my contract, which I accepted. When they sold me this new contract, they neglected to tell me that it was an in-home internet data contract, which means that I can no longer use this SIM card to make or receive calls and that it can only be used in routers.

I attempted to fix this issue by seeking help from the Vodacom store that is closest to me.

They informed me that they could not help since I had upgraded over the phone, but they did provide me with a helpline to reverse the contract back to my previous one, allowing me to use this SIM card for making and receiving calls once more.

It was really tough to get in touch with a helpful consultant.

I finally got assistance after a lot of effort, but this person was very impatient with me and refused to respond to any of my inquiries about my contract.

A few days have passed since I logged a reverse, and I have yet to hear back regarding my contract.

A staff member at the Vodacom physical store stated that a contract reversal should take a few hours.

It has been nearly two weeks and I still have not received any feedback.

I've been emotional over the past few days about not being able to call my family because I live far away from them.

I have experienced a great sense of unease when driving at night for work since I am unable to contact anyone in case of an emergency. I also let them know how urgent my request was. However, they have not exhibited any sympathy. Regretfully, Vodacom has grown so large that they are unable to intentionally engage with their customers.

I'm moving to a new provider of services. What a letdown.
