Horrible Service from Vodacom

I had a 2 year data contract with Vodacom which ended in February this year which was not in arrears and fully paid up. The contract than went on a month to month recurring basis for about 2 months after the end of the official contract period. I went into their Vodacom store in Cavendish Centre Claremont Cape Town, to request that they stop the month-to-month recurring contract. One of their consultants did a few things on their computers and assured me that everything had been sorted and I had nothing to worry about. So I continued about my business and lived my life. Only to find a few months down the line when applying for credit, I am informed that I have a Vodacom account that's in arrears. I than make the time and effort to go to yet another Vodacom store in Claremont Cape Town near the Pick n Pay store on the main road. I spent a good hour with one of their consultants explain my story and get the assurances everything is sorted.

Only to find the harassing phone calls does not stop. I than get informed despite the assurance I got from their consultants that everything is in order with my account and has been sorted. I am liable to pay R541 for arrears on the Vodacom account I had. Mind you up until I first went into the Vodacom store in Cavendish this account had not been in arrears.

To top it off for reasons off convenience I wanted to port one of my cellular phones from Telkom to Vodacom. I went into the same store more than three times was assisted by different consultants. Communicated to them instructions I received from their head office on how to do the port since they *****ed it up on at least two occasions. They once more fiddled with their computers and assured me everything is in order I even received an SMS from Vodacom. Only to find almost two months later the port hasn't gone through. More incompetence and poorer service from a cellular company than this I have not received.

Besides leaving me with little choice other than paying for the incompetence of their consultants. They can't even successfully win over a client from another network provider. Your service provided Vodacom is appalling
