Horrible service - Estates (who can help?)
I wanted to inform Vodacom of a deceased estate, but o my goodness, their service is really bad. So not only do I have to get over the loss of a loved one, but I also have to stress about the very poor quality of service at Vodacom. I know we are in a 21 day lockdown, but that is no excuse for incompetence. And who is going to pay the penalties at the end of the day, not Vodacom... I emailed the documents to *** on 25 March 2020 at 17:00. I did not receive any feedback. I then phoned Vodacom on Monday, 30 March 2020. I was told that the email address is not correct, and I should have emailed it to ***, which I did on 30 March 2020 at 13:03. They told me I will receive a reference number within 24 hours. Nothing. I phoned Vodacom again on 31 March 2020. A very unfriendly consultant at Accounts Payable told me that they have not received the documents and that I should have emailed it to ***. WFT - I already did... She then said their turnaround time is 37 hours and then maybe, MAYBE, if they did not receive the documents by then, they will be able to give me a direct email address for one of their Legal representatives. In the meantime, the debit order did not go through as the bank accounts were cancelled (which happens with an estate). But who cares, not Vodacom. They only have good service if they want you to upgrade. Can someone from Vodacom please contact me regarding this problem.
