Horrible service and lack of follow through

I've been trying to upgrade my cell phone for 4 days now. I used Vodacom Online as it claims convenience and faster service...

At first I wanted a Samsung Galaxy Note 7. I pre-ordered from Vodacom and had I not known about the issue I would have still been in the dark about my order since no one from Vodacom bothered to follow up and inform us- is a mass email that hard to send?

Regardless, I decided to order the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on Smart S package on a bundle that includes a Tab 3 Lite, 10Gb data once off, 100Mb data monthly and a Samsung Powerbank. I filled in the online request this weekend and was told to expect a call within 24hrs. Later I received an email telling me that a consultant tried phoning me and that I must contact them now to complete the order. I am still trying to understand when I was called? I decided to follow up yesterday after work as I was again frustrated with the lack of follow through and customer service. I contacted them at around 16h50. My first call was answered but dropped immediately. I guess someone on shift was not willing to stay another 10min they are paid for... I then called back again, finally got through and was helped. I continued with my order and finalised it until I was read the terms and conditions when I experienced signal interruptions (the irony...) as I was driving home and could hardly hear the consultant. I asked the consultant to contact me back at 17h45 when I would be at home so that I can be contacted on the landline (again the irony). The lady agreed. I waited until 18h00. No return call. I again contacted Vodacom Online and was told after a long wait for the "system to respond" that no orders existed on my line. I was furious but kept calm and ask the consultant to assist me to redo the order and complete it. She assisted until I was given a deal that all the sudden no longer included the Samsumg Powerbank due to availability and when I asked what would be given in its place I was told that if there are no stock the deal simply does not include it and nothing is given in it place. I fail to understand the logic here. You get what you paid for right? That is why Vodacom endorses and follows the consumer protection act? I also fail to understand how a deal 1 hour back could include it but the latter it is no longer available... poor, dissapointing service... Should I now take business elsewhere since I will no longer receive my device today?

And still no contact from Vodacom. Is it shocking to see how an international company operating in SA simply cannot deliver world class service, it is beyond their capabilities...
