HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE IN EVERY SINGLE DEPARTMENT

I have dealt with a bunch of Vodacom departments over the past few months and all of those experiences have been nausiating to say the very least.

Initially, my brother who has his own business got sick and was put in hospital. My phone account was on his name and I needed to change it immediately because since he was sick he wasn't generating an income and my phone (which I use for business) would be cut off. After telling Vodacom about the emergency, they told me that my brother should come in with me to sort out this problem...I mean come on...did you not HEAR what I JUST told you? He is IN THE HOSPITAL???

Then, after making the changes Vodacom deducted an extra R500 from my account, when I tried to follow this up no one could answer me. The first lady said she had a look on the system and I have been double charged for a service rendered and that they will fix it from their side. Apparently she "made a note on the system"...pfft...yeah right!

Needless to say, the money wasn't reimbursed and when I followed up again after listening to that sickening melody for minutes without end, NO notes were on the system. No one knew what the extra money was deducted for. And no one could check that it was indeed a mistake from their side. After the first lady told me that it was a mistake on their side, I just decided to let it go because I cannot afford to waste hours to be put on hold, request callbacks and to still not be helped.

Then another fun thing happened.

While away on a business trip I got ******. This has already been a traumatizing experience since people broke into my hotelroom while I was sleeping. I contacted Vodacom to lock a line and to process with the claim to get a new phone (Which I require for business). After I was holding for half an hour I finally got assistance saying that I have to bring in my brother (who is STILL in the hospital) to complete my claim (Bear in mind, this was in the beginning of April, and I changed those details end of January already).

I explained the situation to the operator and the insurance department told me sorry they cannot help. I was literally just bumping into walls of *********** and unfriendly people everywhere I turn. I finally made a desperate attemtp and phoned Vodacom ONCE AGAIN and got assistance from an angel. Rowada was her name. After I broke into tears this lady was the first to worry about actually helping a customer. She phoned the insurance department and then all of the sudden they were able to change the details on their side.

So right, now I had to do a sim swop. Rowada assisted me with this but someone on the Vodacom side didn't press the submit button to actually initiate the swop being done. I was alone and without a phone in an unfami**** place where I needed to navigate and be in contact with my colleagues. I waited two days for the sim swop...and it still didn't work. I went into the Vodashop at the Waterfront in Cape Town and after waiting for 50 mins I left the store to attend to other errand which I had to run.

I went back to the Vodashop, waited another 20 mins and eventually got assistance from a very unfriendly gentleman who told me that my form was never submitted. I explained to him that my phone MUST be online the next day because I had to drive an unfamil**** 350km road, a woman alone in South Africa. The rude guy assured me it would be online the next day.

Biiiiig surprise, it was still not on by the next afternoon. I had to go into a Vodashop AGAIN the next day. I went to the gardens centre in Cape Town. After waiting MORE than half an hour for assistance, the consultant told me that it is still not activated and my sim is blocked. While in the store I took the time to complete my claim for the insurance because I cannot afford to go in again.

I had to hang around the mall for another 30 mins to ensure that my phone is online and that I will be able to get to my destination.

Then, I looked at the deals Vodacom offered and realised that they are REALLY stingy in comparison to other sellers. I heard of a deal where I can now buy a Sansung 7S and reveive a 32inch TV with my purchase. I tried to phone Vodacom to ask if it was possible to get my insurance to pay out my cash rather than hook me up with a new hand set. After waiting on the phone for nearly 40 mins, the lady told me she had to process my claim because nothing was on the system. After being told that the process has been completed more than a week ago in the Vodacom store.

Then after speaking to the lady on the phone this morning she told me that Vodacom insurance doesn't pay out cash, they replace my handset but I have to pay in an excess of over a thousand rand. I asked the lady how the heck this is possible because the people at Vodacom didn't explain the insurance to me like this initially...So yeah I was fooled againnnnn...

(Just as background...I had a Huawei P9. The first one I got from Vodacom was defective because the screen selected apps on its own. I had to excange it...but the secod one worked like a charm.)

I asked the lady to please put me through to the insurance department, and then she just dropped the line after being on the phone for more that 40 mins. I have a job to do and you guys just don't give a **** about the amount of time I need to spend waiting on an *********** person to assist me and then just drop the phone in my ear. Vodacom I am SO over you and the monopoly you are running. You don't give a rat's ass for your customers and you have literally been making my life hell! I know I won't be hearing from any of you ***ards...and your track record proves it...but I just want to warn the vulnerable assholes that might fall into your trap like I did.
