Horrible customer service and support

I transferred from MTN to Vodacom about a month ago and with it received a new iPhone. When I set up the phone I noticed my iMessage and FaceTime were not working. I troubleshooted the problem and could not find a solution. Thinking it was a device problem I went to the Apple Store and asked them to fix it, they spent an hour trying and couldn't fix the problem to which they told me it was a network connectivity issue and I would need to go into vodacom for them to fix it. I went to the menlyn vodacom "care center" and explained the situation to them. After 4 hours of them messing around on the phone doing absolutely nothing of value, everything on my phone was wiped and they told me they couldn't fix the problem and that they would have to send it to advanced repairs. So I said ok and it got sent in. 10 minutes after leaving the store I was phoned and told my device was fixed and ready. I went back to be told it was a software update that needed to be done. I regularly update all my devices so I knew this wasn't possible. I checked the phone and nothing was fixed. So the phone got sent in again. When getting home I put my SIM card into my old device (which worked perfectly fine with mtn) and it started giving me the exact same problem my new iPhone was giving me. Today I went back into vodacom to explain that it had to be the network/SIM card that was the problem. I spent another hour there today waiting for a solution only to be told they couldn't do anything in store and would have to log a call to the network. They then proceeded to make me pay for a sim swap (which is ridiculous because they sold me a faulty SIM card in the first place) and told me I would have to wait 24 hours before we could see what the real problem is.

This is pathetic in how they treat their customers. No one has given me any solutions and every time I ask what the real problem is the answer is always "we don't know mam". I have never been treated this badly before and for a company who brands them self with "impeccable customer service" I highly disagree. My new iPhone is still at advanced repairs and when I asked if it could be recalled because I know the problem is the SIM card (which I had to figure out myself because the "data specialists and tech specialists" actually know nothing and couldn't figure that out in the 5 hours I sat there) I was told it couldn't be done and I would have to wait.

I will never ever be using the menlyn store again and am highly considering going back to mtn because customer care is clearly not a priority for vodacom.
