Horrible customer care support and no problem solving care
I've been contacting vodacom regarding a issue that arose after they forced me to move from the "my vodacom" to the "vodapay" app. I've been using my contract airtime to make in app purchases for content and currencies in my mobile games through Google play store. I've been using it for years and opted to pay more on my contract to be able to use that airtime for my apps as I do not want to link my bank card for apps. Since the changeover between their 2 apps my purchases keep saying insufficient funds. I'm sitting with more than R500 in airtime on my contract as this issue has been going on for more than a month now and none of their call center agents are usefull in solving this. The last agent said I must contact Google play which I have done twice and after spending hours troubleshooting with them they came to the same conclusions that the purchases are being declined by vodacom and everything is fine on their side. I tested with my bank details and my purchases go through but perfectly but not when I choose to pay using vodacom billing. I tried contacting them through their useless chat bot which connected me to a agent. I asked them that I want to lodge a complaint about this and they gave me their toll free customer care nr. I called it and when I requested to speak to an agent because there's no options to log a complaint, I got a voice-mail promt saying that because I've been contacting them so much in the last month, they've blocked my nr. I need to speak to them through whatsapp or call an alternative nr that will charge me R2 per minute. How in the hell do u block your own customers nr for trying to fix a problem which your useless employees can't seem to fix. The last agent I ACTUALY spoke to, I asked to escalate this issue to a specialist so they can actualy fix my issue and the lady just refused and insisted the issue is with Google play even after I informed her twice that I've spoke to them and 2 different agents by them confirmed the issue is not on their side. They cannot tell me the issue is with Google if Google didn't make any changes but they did and ONLY after they made changes did my problem start. I also went to a branch and the consultant there tried removing the vodapay app and reinstalling the my vodacom app and it still didn't fix the issue so he referred me to the call center as they apparently can't fix those kinds of issues in branch, only the call centers can. I did not want to post this but I'm honestly all out of options and have no idea what to do anymore because the purpose for which I asked for monthly airtime to be loaded on my contract is now useless. I informed the agents also that I can not answer my phone during business hours so they must send a sms or email and I never received any feedback in that way.

If you check my history over quite a few years, you will see I've always been able to make purchases in apps using my contract airtime. The last successful transaction was on 23/03/2024. If you backtrack you'll notice that most, if not all of my airtime has always been used for these same transactions. It is only since I've been forced to go over to vodapay that it is not working anymore.
Please do proper research and give me a proper answer because the only answer you guys keep giving me is that it isn't possible but me and a friend of mine has been doing it for years. He has stopped using mobile apps so he doesn't try to do these anymore but I would like to be able to continue using my airtime as I always have.
