Horrible Attitude from Vodacom Staff
Icalled Vodacom at the mall of Africa requesting a contact number for Vodacom customer service that I could dial from my landline . The lady who answered that phone ( named Suzan Deli by co-work Gordon Moabi) proceeded to give me the number 082135. I advised this lady that I have tried this number and it does not go through on my landline .While raising her voice , she then proceeded to then shout at me "You are through to mall of Africa and not customer service , try 082111 and that is the only number i know " I then proceeded to advise that I had tried that number as well and that she should rather put me through to the customer service department as I don't have the time to be searching for other Vodacom contact numbers , very annoyed and audible in her tone she said : I am at mall of Africa , branch level and not customer service I can put you through her" with this starting to annoy me too I then proceeded to ask whether she had no other way of finding a contact number that would work on my land line or someone that knew more than the two numbers that she gave me. Suzan then continued to raise her voice shout that she does not have time and has customers to attend to and demanded that I be nice to her if I want her to assist me otherwise she wont assist me , in my calm but annoyed state I advised that I did not need to be nice to her and that this call had taken the opposite of a friendly call, so she should rather than arguing about being nice she should put me through to customer service or find someone that would conducted them selves in a more customer conscious and knowledgeable manner .. Suzann then proceeded to hang the phone up in my ear . the reason behind my call to customer service has still not been resolved , I still don't have a Vodacom customer service contact number and the data that Vodacom was to allocate to my sim
this all happened03.10.2018 - 15.10.
If I had know this would have been the performance , loud and theatrical enough to be heard by all I would have gone to the Vodacom in Pinelands Cape Town . Now I ask myself why I continue to pay rates higher than other network providers in our country if I am going to be subjected to this type of abuse . I am still completely dismayed but I would appreciate the recording of that telephonic conversation just as a reminder of what I am paying for
