********** SERVICE

Please note that I am absolutely appalled with the treatment I have received from Vodacom. Seeing that I have been a client for around 15 years.

3 weeks ago I contacted Vodacom to ask and process and upgrade for a Samsung J7 and a Router. Not because I wanted I know phone but because my phone was violently ****** of my person in Durban the week before while on Holiday.
The router was successfully delivered on the 18/05/2017 and by successfully it was left at my receptionist and I just signed and left my ID copy. Got home later the evening and saw that it was only the router and not a mobile phone. Immediately called Vodacom as I was fearful that they phone might have gotten misplace from consignment to delivery. They advised that the Router was consigned earlier then the mobile phone hence it arriving first but I should have my phone Friday (19/05/2017). The morning of the 19/05/2017 I advised my Receptionist that I am expecting a delivery, so I jotted down my extension no. for her just to make the process fast and easier.

At 14:00 I have received no delivery, I proceeded to contact Vodacom for a update, they advised that they van has returned the device to the warehouse as they could not reach me. I ABSOLUTELY LOST IT. As NO ONE called me! I asked for the lady to confirm the numbers used. Both numbers given I had clearly and specifically said to Sipheshle on the upgrade call I don’t not have nor use and I provided 2 alternate number.

I told them to call Ram and tell them to turn around, they advised that the driver is not answering and after holding for and eternity they said they the phone was checked back to the warehouse and will be re-dispatched Monday. Monday came and went with NO CALL. Tuesday I decided to against my better Judgement to just call again. I spoke to the most Rudest consultant I had ever encountered name Charmaine Tshabalala who basically told me that the phone was sent out again and they could not get hold of me, so the upgrade has to be reversed before it can be re-issue again. The more I was raising my unhappiness the more this consultant proceeded to shout over me whilst I was speaking. And when I asked if I can finish what I am saying, she just went completely silent and refused to further acknowledge me. I dropped the call, called back and demanded to speak to a Team leader.

I spoke to Tersius from the Upgrade team who did all the necessary apology and and and. He advised that he would see if they can re-issue the device. I then advised me that unfortunately they cannot do this as the status of my order has to first be changed and then the upgrade re-processed and then dispatched. I was livid and Tersius asked me for the opportunity to fix this from Vodacom side as he knows what an inconvenience I am experiencing. He promised to call me back the next morning at 9 am even offered me 10 gigs of data for my inconvenience as well as further compensation – guess what? 9 am and the entire Wednesday came and went and NO PROMISED CALL.

The next morning (Thurday 25/05/16) I call just after 9 am to speak to Tersius, he apologises again and confirms that my phone is back and he himself is going to reprocess the upgrade and it will reach me by Monday. I said No, I want a phone tomorrow. I refuse to go another weekend without a phone because of Vodacom’s negligence and incompetence. He advised that he cannot confirm that I will have a phone the Friday but he Promised that Monday latest I will have the phone. He took the correct numbers for me to be contacted on AGAIN for delivery and I waited once more.

Well guess what? I still have NO PHONE! I called yesterday to speak to Tersius and Anna advised that he is in coaching and will call me back in an hour. Guess what? NO CALL

I called I again this morning to speak to the Team leader Tersius and was advised that he is on a call, they offered a call back which I declined for obvious reasons.

Spoke to Tersius this morning (30/05/2017) and he basically said that the System is not allowing my upgrade because the administrators have not update the status. THIS TO ME IS UNACCEPTABLE.

Now I understand that my loyalty and monthly payments to Vodacom may mean very little to Vodacom’s bottom line but this does not justify this ********** treatment and service I have received. And the worst part is all this while my daughter has been so ill and in and out of doctors and hospitals but I didn’t mention it because I felt, this would have seem like a sympathy plight. Which is not what I wanted! So in light of this:

1. Cancel my upgrade to my pathetic little J7 that would have amounted to a total of R6000.00 over my 24 month contract.

2. Collect your Router for which I was going to pay a meagre R3096.00 over a 24 month contract.

3. Cancel my entire account held with Vodacom.

I will as far as I go, every social media platform I have access to, every work and social event I am part of. I make everyone aware of my Vodacom nightmare.
