********** service

Mid-April my mother, Judy Muller, app**** for an upgrade online. She requested a Samsung S7 and changed her package from a Smart S to a Flex. She got a call the next day from a consultant at Vodacom who advised her that she would only receive her phone by the end of April because she made a package change. April came and went and to date she has yet to hear from anyone at Vodacom. She tried calling the Vodacom upgrade line but was shunted from pillar to post. She was given 4 different numbers and no one could help her because they were on a new system and could not see her information. She was then told she should go to a store to cancel the upgrade and apply for a new one at the store. She went to N1 City Vodacom today and tried to cancel but was told that it can only be cancelled online. It is now the end of May and nothing has been done. This service is unacceptable!

I was only contacted on Sa****ay (7 days later) by a consultant to which he asked if the upgrade has been cancelled yet. I said I do not know as I have not heard anything since logging my complaint. Faaiek then phoned back today at 1:45pm (10 days later) to say he has now cancelled the upgrade and my mother can now request another upgrade. He says this was all due to the fact that Vodacom moved to a new system. So I asked if this was the reason for the 2 month delay in service since my mother requested the upgrade on 11 April 2016. Faaiek just got dismissive and defensive and then rudely said "can you just put your mother on the phone" to which I responded that he would need to contact her on her cell phone number to speak to her. The change in system is not the fault of the customer or the customers problem and instead Faaiek should have been apologetic for the inconvenience caused by Vodacom and the delay. I urge Vodacom management to listen to the poor customer service delivered on the call off the back of a complaint.
