HOOSAN FROM THE FIBRE DEPARTMENT ARGUED WITH ME ON THE PHONE
On 11 September I contacted the Vodacom fibre department and spoke to Hoosan. I informed him that there was no connection in my room and this has never before happened. He advised that I needed an Extender and could not help me beyond that point. I then informed him that on 02 September and 03 September I spoke to a lady who said she would call me back regarding a refund for the down time I experienced on two separate occasions and for openserve to attend to the relocation of the fibre box. Hoosan then told me that he could not identify that such a call took place as the lady did not make any notes on the system. After much back and forth he arrogantly told me that the lady is a trainee and he cannot locate her. He refused to entertain the refund this lady told me about, he refused to give me his surname... he said he is not obliged to give me his surname, I asked to speak to the team leader and he told me the team leader is busy with another client and he cannot speak to me. I asked for the team leaders email address and at first he said he would give it to me then decided he will not do that, instead he will send him an email to call me. I then responded that I do not trust that he will get the team leader to call me or even that the team leader will call because Vodacom has **** so many times to me. He then raised his voice in an argumentative manner and asked 'are you calling me a ****' shocked at this question... I responded yes. He then went back and forth with me telling me I have no right to call him a ****. The team leader by the name of Chaslin has not called me back as I had suspected. I asked for Chaslin's surname and Hoosan said he is not obliged to give me his surname either. I said to Hoosan that the fact that I am paying Vodacom nearly R2000.00 per month is reason enough for me to expect great service from Vodacom and he responded by saying 'but you not paying that amount for the fibre alone'. Towards the end of the call I moved closer to the fibre box and said to him, I still do not have network... so evidently the distance is not the issue and I said this to you initially. He kept quite and I asked 'are you not going to tell me what to do' he then said I should forget the network on my phone... this did not work and I had to figure for myself that all I needed to do was reboot the fibre box. I have never, gone back and forth with an agent... I even said to Hoosan that I am not his friend for him to speak to me like this and him taking calls should mean he can deal with irate clients and this is how he dealt with me. On 13 September I called in to the fibre department and spoke Khakha based in Port Elizabeth and she said she does not know either of these people and is not allowed to give their surnames or spell their names. I am very upset... I am looking to move to Afrihost but before that, I would like an apology from both Chaslin, Hoosan and the anonymous trainee. Thereafter, please explain the process for submitting an early termination for my cellphone contract please... These three people think they can still treat clients like the dirt under their shoes in 2024. People are not cancelling their contracts and Vodacom has grown too big for their shoes.
