Honor phones are suspect on AndriodAuto

I recently upgrade a Samsung phone to an Honor 70B. At the time I made it clear that I travel a lot and that I need a phone that jas the capabilities of the S10 at least. I was promised that the phone works with AndroidAuto and ALL feature will be the same if not better. I have been trying to get AndriodAuto to work to no avail. I have replaced cables, uninstalled and reinstalled, tried different plugs, Nothing, I have sat in my vehicle with the the instore specialist while he was online with the Honor specialists. It was going to be escalated to the national tech support for Honor. The instore specialist tried two other Honor phones, both worked. So my wife's Samsung works, my old S10 worked. And then I went to Cape Town, rented a car, could connect my wife's phone with zero difficulty. So, end result: it has to be the Honor phone or the Honor model. But after three approx months, I am getting no response, my messages are ignored, and I cannot drive with Googlemaps in my car because my phone cannot be connected with a cable. It ignores the car even if Bluetooth does connect. I want a solution but Vodacom has died on me. Don't try calling their "CustomerCare". That's is just an endless circle of fustration and never a living human being at the end of the call, just Tobi the bot.......and the call number and then Tobi and then the call number and then Tobi. Utter madness. I want a phone that works out the box.
