Hillcrest Corner Vodacom Appalling Customer Service
So let's go back to the beginning. I went into Vodacome Hillcrest store on Woman's Day and dealt with who seemed then to be lovely Ceaghan Koekemoer. I asked him about contracts and I asked about the Huawei Nova 9. He then told me about the Huawei Y70 plus which I didn't like.
I did the application form, sent my 3 month bank statements and he made a copy of my ID. He then said before I left the store I had been approved for the Huawei Y70 and I asked him to try for the Nova 9 and he said I had to pay a ridiculous amount in. I said no I'm sure we can motivate that I can have the Nova 9 contract as if you go back on my prepaid account over the many many years I have been with Vodacom you can see the thousands and thousands I have sent with Vodacom. So I'm sure I can get approval for the Nova 9 contract. Don't hear a word from Ceaghan for two days. I try call the shop no phones working, it says use our whatsapp number that's not working. I had to go back down to the store and speak to him again and ask why he doesn't get back to his clients. I even emailed him which he didn't answer. Only to find out that the whatsapp sim card isn't even in the phone.
That's when I spoke with Sasheen Lilmohun the manager of Hillcrest Corner Vodacom and he said you would motivate it and he did and we got approval for the contract for the Nova 9. He then called me on Wednesday the 24th of August, to tell me Hillcrest should have stock of the Nova 9 by Friday the 26th August 2022.
Friday came and Ceaghan called at 12:04pm to let me know the PMB delivery guy was stuck because of a strike happening in PMB and couldn't deliver the stock to the Hillcrest store but he would keep in contact. I then asked him what time the store closed and he said 6pm. I never heard from him for the rest of the day.
One of my clients who is from PMB came into my salon and I then asked her about the strike and what was happening and how she got through and she asked me what I was talking about. I felt like a complete idiot. So of course I told her about Ceaghan and the whole story. Which of course makes Vodacom looks bad because the sales consultants are LYING to their clients. UNACCEPTABLE!!!
Then on Saturday I try follow up on call and no one answers. Eventually after whatsapping 4/5 times I get an answer only to be admitted to that Ceaghan did lie to me and the phone wasn't delivered and I wasn't getting the phone.
Monday the 29th comes and still don't hear a word. I sms Sasheen last night and ask him for his and his head offices email address because I am just at my wits end.
I get a call today from Karishma another sales consultant in the Hillcrest store who has now apparently taken my application over from Ceaghan and says my phone is there and in stock now and she asks me for a copy of my ID so I said why Ceaghan has a copy and has all my documents.
I just went into Vodacom store again to collect my phone only to find out I can't get my phone I have to restart the entire process all over again and they have none of my documents.
I ask Ceaghan where my documents are and he couldn't tell me. He stands there like a deer in the spot lights. He said he couldn't keep them for to long due to the POPI act, I nearly died. I told him just disposing of my documents was against the POPI act. If he wants to talk about legalities and POPI act we can. I asked why he **** to me about the strike in PMB and he said he had gotten communication from management about the strike, when I asked him to show me he couldn't. I just told him to not lie on top of a lie.
So I still do not have my phone and now I'm back to square one. I have been a loyal customer of Vodacom for over 18 years on my current number and others and I am getting over it at a rapid rate.
I have now been in comms with Sasheen and Lee Rajoo at head office for a week to try and sort out this incompetency from their part. Only to find out today that now on my second application after been approved and accepted on my first application now I am not approved unless I pay in a ridiculous amount first. I have not heard of anything more insane. The phone was delivered and waiting for collection and I was approved but because Ceaghan cancelled my first application and messed it up now I cannot get the contract and they not doing anything on their side to try and rectify their mistakes and would rather loose a loyal customer to another provider.
