Highly disappointing ( or more aptly stated "non-existent" ) customer service from Vodacom
Highly disappointing ( or more aptly stated "non-existent" ) customer service from Vodacom :
After my second contract period expired in February and March 2022, I am once again at my wits end in dealing with Vodacom customer care "service" agents. After countless calls to the Vodacom's customer care line and after dealing with several service agents, I am right back at square one ( 2 months down the line).
Sadly, it seems that agents are merely going through the motions in making contact ( even after an Hello Peter blog like this ) and the customers actual concern and valid complaints are either marginalised / blatantly ignored. As several other dis-satisfied clients have echoed before, I too am unfortunately left with no alterative but to turn to this means to be heard. It seems that the loyalty and long-standing customer support of a large ISP / Cellular Tech company like Vodacom is not of any concern anymore. Being told that one Department of Vodacom ( eg. Retentions ) works entirely separately from another department ( eg. Sales ) is quite frustrating. It seems that after bringing the discrepancy of contract upgrade prices ( for new prospective customers versus existing lone standing customers ) to the line managers attention, the only response was that "we work differently" in the different departments. This response leaves much to be desired since it doesn't address the previous Vodacom precedent of offering competitive upgrade deals to long standing existing customers as well. Surely this is fair and consistent practise to efficiently service current customers before prioritising roping in new customers.
The Vodacom retention service offer of a " deal match" with other network providers has proved to be another back-and -forth, fruitless exercise to say the least. After numerous calls to several agents ( Mako, Keegan, Zandile, and their line managers )m with several reference numbers (eg. 163 502 ) , I am still to actually have the deal match promise honoured as alluded to. Over a month or two later, I am still highly frustrated and appalled at the run around I am getting as a long standing customer.
Hoping that this avenue / outlet of airing my ongoing customer service complaints is heard and attended to. Since, I have numerous tele-marketing calls from Vodacom sales agents but few and far between to honour their promises to assist and follow-up with the required customer assistance.
Frustrated and highly disillusioned Vodacom customer.
