High Data Usage no notifications received!

I have been a loyal Vodacom subscriber for many years now, and have always had pleasant experiences with them. However, as from August I started to not receive notifications of my data bundles running out. Subsequently, this has resulted in astronomical bills, to which were accrued un-knowingly. In September when I logged my first dispute, I was passed a credit note, however it was not for the full amount, and then the same occurence happened again in October, because why? no notifications! How am I supposed to maintain my data when im not given any indication of usage, and not to mention be allowed to run bills this high without my knowledge, only to be told too bad you must pay.

My complaint isnt the fact the data was used, my complaint is that I was not notified of such. Additionally, I opted for the notifications to which I never received them. Now that the account is in arrears to be given only a option of to pay the arrears amount in two months, and that my phone number will be disconnected anyway I feel leaves me the customer no options to rectify the issue. The arrears amount is too high for me the average consumer to pay in singular or over two months.

Secondly, how can Vodacom just let this happen? you a average person run a up a bill like this, where the argument still stands that how can someone knowingly in their right mind do this???

I find that Vodacom's lack of options to the consumer to still utilise their sevices as poor, I as a job seeker at the moment need my phone, and I feel that banks, government, and other retailer/service providers more understanding and willing to help you, where Vodacoms pay or f-off stance quite upsetting.

I am utterly desperate, and need my phone and accrued such charges without knowledge or any kind of notification of doing so not fair.
