Receive a bill of over R5000 today from Vodacom for excess Data usage. When we entered into the package we were told that they can't cap the data and that they can't send a sms notification directly to me, but it need to go to another number. So I added my mother's number. Today I receive a R5000 bill. Everytime my mom forwarded the message to me I bought data. The problem however is that my mom is not always with her phone to send me the messages. Vodacom can't cap the data and can't send me the user an sms to see that data is running out. Surely this doesn 't fall into the Customer Protection Act. Why is the Law / Goverment not doing anything about this. This is ****************. I can buy more than 2 years worth of Data for R5000. Can anyone afford a R5000 bill, why does Vodacom get away with this
