Here we go again! Dismal failure to provide services
Oh Vodacom here we go again. In the month of August I called to cancel my contract as it was going to expire at the end of the month. The consultant I spoke to tried to offer me another product , I declined and affirmed I wanted to cancel and she said she would log the cancellation request and I would receive an SMS, which never came.
I called to follow up and was told that the consultant I previously spoke to did not log the cancellation request. And that one would be logged.
Later in the month I called to confirm that the contract was cancelled and that I didn't need to make any payments. I was told indeed the cancellation would take effect and that I did not need to make any payments. I was owing nothing.
Low and behold today (October) I receive and email to say I am in arrears by two months. I call to try find out what is going on. Only to be told the cancellation request was never made and further I must pay the arrears for a cancellation request to be logged.
How does this even make sense??? I cancelled because the customer service is shocking it turns out it is so dismal they can't even process a cancellation request then want to say you must pay.

I was called last week and advised that the matter would be sorted and that I did not owe the said amount. I followed up today and I am told the account is still appearing as in arrears????
