HelloPeter is the only way to get things done at Vodacom

On the Vodacom app there was a once off 1GB special with a few options. I selected the 1 day option at R19 to see what it is about and despite the app showing it as a menu option it immediately showed that I bought it successfully, without asking if I agree with t&c or if I am sure I want to buy. I did not even know that clicking on that menu option means I’m buying. I phoned the contact centre to have it reversed. They gave me a reference number (1- ********** ********** ) and assured me that someone would call me back in 24 hours. Before ending the call, I asked her ‘what if they don’t call me in 24 hours? What should I do.’ She simply rep**** ‘they WILL call you in 24 hours’. So, of course I was right: it has been 2 days and I have not received any calls. When looking on the app, they have removed the data but haven’t reversed the charges!!! So now I am just paying for nothing. 1. The app should should make it clear that clicking on a menu is a purchase without a chance to change your mind. 2. The call centre should not commit to phoning when they won’t. 3. The charges should obviously be reversed!

The only way to get anything done at Vodacom is through HelloPeter. The rest are useless. That’s why I refuse to call them back again and listen to that recording read me my balance and payment date when I’m not phoning to hear that.

Please reverse the charges and let me know once it will reflect correctly on the app. Please inform the agent that she **** to me. And fix the app!

No I am receiving this sms message: “Dear customer, please be advised your balances do not show a recurring daily 1GB. Kindly be advised to visit your nearest Vodacom store with the device you access your MyVodacom App from for further assistance. Thank you for your patience.” Who said anything about recurring?? I still see an amount of R19 on the app. Why am I receiving sms’s to which I cannot reply? PHONE ME!!!

I am not sure how to convert my review from 1 star to 5 stars, but thanks to the complaints team (Fergie?) my problem has been resolved. Whilst I’m still not a fan of the contact centre, Fergie’s assistance was fantastic.
