HEAD OFFICE SHIFTING THE BLAME TO THE BRANCH
I upgraded my contract. I checked with sales person that my next debit order would be just over R500 as per the contract. She confirmed this with my husband and myself twice. According to Vodacom call centre, my debit order will be for this month R900.01. I spoke to customer care & the supervisor, Ernest, who advised that not only did I still need to pay an extra R200 for the next two months for the old handset (of which I had not been informed), but the store had incorrectly loaded an extra gig of data on my account for R149 which I had never actually received. When I asked for the extra fee for the extra gig to be reversed, I was told I must go to the store. I told the supervisor that my contract isn't with the store but with Vodacom as an entity & I wouldn't go back to on my own time & expense to fix THEIR error. I was told in store that the remaining amount of the contract would just be added to the new contract. I was not properly informed & the fact that I also am being charged for something I never received & Vodacom Head Office is refusing to reverse this is pathetic & unacceptable. How is this in line with the CPA? The lack of training must now be paid for by the consumer?
